Short luteal phase and trying to conceive?

4 Dec

Hi ladies, I have a luteal phase of 7-8 days and my period is 22 days. I have a 21 month old baby whom I have recently ( a week ago) weaned but I still have not dried up. My doctor prescribed progestrone for me. I want to lengthen my lutheal phase to maximise my chances. Do you know any remedies for this? Also any remedies to make the ovulation quiker so that the luteal phase is longer? Has anyone been in a similar case? Thanx for your time and advise.

Vitamin B6 should help with the luteral phase. But as for drying up,dunno.

Your breastfeeding is probably screwing up your cycles. Now that you’ve completely stopped, your hormone levels (particularly your prolactin level) should return to normal, thus, returning your cycles to normal. I would give it a couple of months and see how you do.

If you find you’re still having trouble after a few months I’d do Clomid… it’s the best way to regulate your cycles… give you a healthy O and lengthen your LP.

    Good luck.

Hey, check out “Pregnancy Miracle” by Lisa.

My friend had problems TTCing for at least a few years. She has tried fertility medications but it didn’t help at all.
She even read all the tips and techniques of TTCing from forums and even here in yahoo answers but still didn’t help.

She got the Pregnancy Miracle book after Oprah Winfrey featured it in her show.

And guess what? She successfully got pregnant a few months later!
She let me read the book before and it teaches many stuffs even if you’re in your late 30s or 40s; have endometriosis; tubal obstruction problems; ovarian cyst or PCOS.
And all the secrets in the book never resorts to IVF or IUI procedures or fertility drugs like Clomid, Fertilaid, Fertility Blend or preseed. It’s all natural ways.

All the best and lots of baby dust :)
