How could fertility rates in the western world be increased?

Fertility rates in the western world (Canada and US mainly) have slowly decreased over the past couple of decades. Come up with clever and orginal ways to increase fertility rates in these countries if you were prime minister/president.

Simply put, this has to be a more “family friendly” situation. stop telling people how to live and let them. Open up laws the give companies compensation for family members who choose to bring chidren into the world. Make work places provide daycare for young children!!!! Support people’s right to choose who they marry. Hate me all you want, but if GLBT people were allowed to have families, I gaurantee we would have more ppl bringing in children into the world.
Overpopulation is this worlds largest threat. Why would you want to increase it?
But I suppose an answer to your question would be to take away all our education. Usually countries that lack education overpopulate.
It is not a question of raising fertility rates. We enjoy the best standard of living in the wolrd, and good food equals high reproduction capacities. The issue becomes “why are the Western Civilizations choosing to have smaller families?” We are choosing to have a higher quality of life for ourselves and our offspring. 100 yr.s ago, 1 in 4 infants died, 1 in 6 did not live to their teens. Most children survive infancy and childhood to become adults nowdays. So why the push to overpopulate? The world has far too many people in it now. We need to be in zero or negative growth, as we are outstripping the worlds’ capacity to feed and house us as it is. Only by containing the population growth will we be able to survive as a species. We are no longer spending all our time waging war, or dieing of disease, we are curing the worlds’ problems, except for over population.
1. Stop using electric blankets. They significantly reduce fertility rates.
2. Encourage men to wear boxer shorts. Briefs reduce fertility rates.
3. Ban florescent lights. They reduce fertility rates per Canadian research that keeps getting suppressed.
4. Avoid living near high voltage power lines and towers. Same suppression of research as in #3.
5. Lower temperatures in households to 65 degrees F. That significantly increases fertility rates.
6. Get meth off the streets and fire all of the county sheriff departments in the U.S. in a big sweep due to the known corruption in those departments related to the meth epidemic. Meth use severely reduces fertility rates.
7. Fly below 15,000 feet. Higher altitude flying is the equivalent of one chest x-ray in radiation that zaps female eggs.
8. Allow research to proceed investigations into the safety and dangers of cell phone use, which may be causing part of the considerable six-fold rise in autism and possibly affects fertility.
9. Stop U.S. military use of high intensity microwave through populated areas.
